The Human Side of Sales
The Human Side of Sales
An intimate gathering for early-stage female founders to rethink sales, not as persuasion, but as understanding. How to have conversations that feel natural, ask questions that matter, and close without feeling pushy.
We’ll explore:
→ Sales as understanding, not persuasion
→ Asking the right questions before you pitch
→ Naming the problem so your solution becomes obvious
→ Explaining your offer through outcomes, not features
→ Sharing your price with confidence
This isn't about becoming a better salesperson.
It's about having better conversations.
This dinner is for you, if:
→ You're an early-stage female founder navigating sales conversations
→ You hate the idea of selling because it feels manipulative
→ You pitch your services and watch people's eyes glaze over
→ You freeze when someone asks "how much?"
→ You want to close clients without feeling pushy or inauthentic
The flow
→ Arrival drinks & entrée
→ Create new connections
→ Workshop with Marie: The Human Side of Sales
→ Real conversations about selling
→ Mains & dessert

About The Founders' Table
Each month, we gather for intimate conversations around a different theme and share stories that open up possibilities for everyone at the table.
These aren't networking events. They're curated spaces for real connection with women building businesses together. The format will change. Sometimes restaurants, sometimes private homes, sometimes outdoors. Occasionally a workshop or fireside chat. What stays the same: intimacy, intention, and good food. If you're building something meaningful, we'd love you at the table.
Your Hosts
This event is hosted by Marie & Jennifer, the founders of Luma Circle—a community and business education platform supporting women building purpose-driven, service-based businesses. Follow along at @lumacircle.co for updates on upcoming dinners.
