GenJam NY: MicroDrama with Morphic
About the event
In this GenJam, teams will concept, produce, and premiere a 45–90 second microdrama—a compact, character-driven story with a clear arc and a punchy ending. You’ll learn to move from beat sheet to screen fast, using AI tools to draft visuals, voices, and sound, then cut it all into a tight narrative.
We’re partnering with Morphic to streamline the visual workflow and get you from idea → boards → shots in record time.
The 4-hour flow
Hour 1 — Tools training (5:00–6:00 PM)
Hands-on demos and mini-exercises:
Morphic: visual ideation on a canvas, shot iteration, frames-to-video flow
ElevenLabs: character voice, narrator VO, temp dialogue
Quick edit & timing fundamentals (cuts that serve story, transitions that don’t distract)
Hours 2–3 — Production labs (6:00–8:00 PM)
Teams of ~5 create a 45–90s microdrama (vertical or horizontal). Machine Cinema team will be around to help.
Hour 4 — Premiere & live vote (8:00–9:00 PM)
Screen every piece, run a crowd vote, and give rapid feedback on what landed: hook, clarity, pacing, emotional payoff, and finish.
