​Romance, As a Service?

​We already talk to machines every day. They answer our questions, remember our preferences, support us when we’re stuck, and sometimes feel more attentive than the people around us. As AI becomes more personal and more present in our lives, it’s natural to ask an uncomfortable question: can we actually fall in love with a machine?

​And if we can, what does that say about love itself? Is love about what the other is, or about how they make us feel? If a machine listens, and responds with warmth, does it matter whether their "feelings" are "real" or programmed? And could a machine ever love us back, or would it always be a convincing imitation?

​As AI moves from being a tool to something closer to a companion, the line gets blurry fast. Come discuss this with us.
