Out in Climate London Breakfast & Networking
Join us for a breakfast and networking event focused on LGBTQ+ individuals and allies working in the climate and sustainability sectors.
Our programme will feature a fireside chat centred on the themes of Inclusion and Belonging, with insights drawn from two major research efforts:
The Pride in Energy survey report (https://bit.ly/PrideInEnergy), which revealed that 7 in 10 respondents are concerned about political criticisms of inclusion. Alarmingly, fewer than 3 in 10 consider the sector to be very inclusive. These statistics are not just numbers; they represent real experiences. Nearly 4 in 10 respondents have witnessed or experienced discrimination, indicating that almost half of our workforce is facing exclusion in a sector that should be leading progress, not hindering it.
LGBT Great’s For All: The Power of Allyship and Belonging report (https://www.lgbtgreat.com/For-All), which highlights the critical role of allyship in driving inclusion across industries. The research underscores that inclusive cultures are built through intentional leadership, visible support, and collective action—especially in sectors like climate and sustainability where innovation depends on diverse perspectives.
Our speakers include:
Joshua Atkins, Chair of Pride in Energy and National Grid's UK Head of Corporate Affairs
Howard Low, Founder and CEO of Enverse and member of Out in Climate
Matt Cameron, CEO of LGBT Great and lead author of For All: The Power of Allyship and Belonging
Moderated by:
Anna Bazley, Head of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Enoda and Out in Climate City London Lead
