About Event

You know the feeling when you're sitting around the Thanksgiving table and grandpa says something incredibly rude? Well, you're not alone. Holiday gatherings can feel messy when you’re navigating relatives who dismiss climate science, make biased comments, or push conversations into stressful territory. We're living through hard times politically right now, and during this workshop, we'd like to make space to talk about that.

We are hosting these community discussions in response to the current political climate and economic conditions we are facing, and the conversations we've been having with people in our Sustainability Creatives community. These discussions are designed to connect you with others who are feeling similar fears to you, help you learn emotional regulation, and face the future with hope.

Are you creative? Do you want to fight climate change? Our interactive design thinking office hours teach you how to do this with ease!

These office hours are for all creatives looking to make an impact in fighting climate change. During this time, you'll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded people who also care about sustainability and creativity. Each week will look different and cover topics that Sustainability Creatives have said are important to them.

The Sustainability Creatives are a diverse bunch. We’re out-of-the-box thinkers, we see inefficiencies in our systems, we want to make rapid change, and we care about designing for people and our planet. Regardless of our job title, we have one thing in common: we want to use our creativity to make the world a better place.

Check out our upcoming programs:

Overcoming Climate Anxiety Program
January 12th - February 4th
$119

As professionals in climate, we carry emotions like grief, anger, hopelessness, and overwhelm with us every day. Times are especially hard right now, and our feelings matter and deserve space. That’s why we’re bringing in Licensed Therapist, Cara Reiner, to help us process our climate anxiety through reflection, challenge, community, hope, and self-care. In this 4-week program, we will take steps to overcome our climate anxiety, so our sustainability work can continue to feel sustainable for us, too.

Job Interviewing Program
February 17th - March 10th
$119

This program will help you nail your climate interviews as a Sustainability Creative. Job interviewing is a muscle you have to build, and in this program we will flex that muscle using storytelling frameworks, hands-on practice and direct feedback. We’ll cover how to answer the most difficult interview questions, how to prepare before an interview both mentally and physically, and how to tell a compelling career story.
