Lunar New Year Potluck & Blessing

As we welcome the arrival of the Lunar New Year, we invite you to gather for a special community celebration on Sunday, February 8th. Let’s come together to share food, warmth, and set intentions for the new year.

• Where: Chan Space New York | 219 E 60st., NY, NY 10022
You may bring a vegetarian dish, dessert, or drink to share, OR alternatively, make a donation ($25 suggested) to help us cover event costs.
Please select the appropriate ticket type so we know how much extra food to plan for.
Special Programs
Due to the Jan 25 snowstorm, our New Year Peace Meditation has been rescheduled to be part of this Lunar New Year celebration. Alongside our shared meal, we’ll gather for the meditation, followed by a Special New Year Blessing and Candle Lighting Ceremony.
Together, we will release the past year, and dedicate the light to peace, clarity, and compassion for all beings in the coming year.
We’ll also host a Calligraphy Corner, where everyone is welcome to practice and create their own spring scroll to carry home as a New Year wish.
Whether you are a long-time member of our community or visiting for the first time, we look forward to celebrating this auspicious time with you.

Global Family for Love and Peace (GFLP) is a 501(c)(3) organization in the United States dedicated to cultivating a world of mutual understanding, compassion, and nonviolence.
GFLP believes that by embracing our shared humanity and working together, we can overcome division and conflict to build a future of lasting peace and harmony. Through collective efforts, GFLP focuses on environmental education and peace programs engaging youth groups and establishing a university dedicated to sustainability and ecological restoration.
