Community Building Lab

​A monthly peer workshop for anyone building or thinking about building a community in NYC.

​Bring your challenges, your experiments, and your ideas. We’ll share what’s working, what’s not, and help each other build stronger communities.

​Together we’ll explore:

• ​purpose and positioning

• ​formats that work

• ​common challenges in community building

• ​what to stop, tweak, or double down on

​The session is participatory, practical, and grounded in real examples. You’ll learn from others, share your experience, and leave with concrete next steps.

​Expect a warm welcome, small-group exchanges, honest conversations, and a supportive environment with fellow community builders, with an on-time start and finish.

• ​6:15 – Small-group problem solving

  • ​Groups of 3–4.

  • ​Each person shares their community and a current challenge

  • ​Group helps with ideas, examples, and solutions

  • ​Each group shares one or two challenges and useful ideas that emerged

• ​7:20 – Takeaways & next steps
