In June 2025 during the 29th International Automotive Electronics Congress (AEK) 11 companies have signed an MoU for joint software development based on open source curated by the VDA. Now the initiative is than doubled in size with global companies joining: car manufacturers, suppliers, software companies and silicon vendors.
