HAPTIC - A Ceramics Ceremony

​HAPTIC comes from the Greek haptikós, meaning able to touch or related to touch.

​Our first Ceramic Ceremony is a sensory experience of presence, touch and creation guided by ceramic artist Sara Matos Ferreira, whose work explores touch, natural textures and underwater landscapes.

​We cover our eyes and let touch and body memory shape the dialogue between the senses and the material. 

​We share food and drinks, inviting taste and smell to stay awake and attentive.

​We feel with our hands, our bodies, our mouths, our ears. Form emerges without control or expectation.

​What happens when we feel before we think? When we sense without analysing?
