About Event

Join us on Tuesday 26 May for a casual evening conversation about what it takes to start your own nonprofit.

Our guest Marin Vandamme spent five years at McKinsey before deciding to launch The Protein Project with Katrien Martens, a Brussels-based organisation building coalitions across the food system to advance protein diversification in Europe. Marin will share what prompted the move, what he's learned about building an organisation, and how he navigates the Brussels policy landscape as a nonprofit founder, followed by an open Q&A. The evening will continue with informal networking and conversation.

A great opportunity for anyone interested in the food transition or nonprofit entrepreneurship, and to connect with others working in the space!

Effective altruism is a global movement that asks a simple question: How can we use our time, money, and resources to help others as much as possible? Rather than just doing what feels good, effective altruists aim to do what does the most good using reason, evidence, and compassion.

We are Effective Altruism Belgium, a nonprofit building a community of people dedicated to tackling the world’s most pressing problems.

Learn more at eabelgium.org, join our WhatsApp community to meet others in the movement, or subscribe to our monthly newsletter to stay updated on events, opportunities, and EA news.
