In this workshop Creatives would learn to design and transfer custom patterns onto fabric while mastering a selection of essential embroidery stitches and techniques.
Led by Amsterdam Embroidery Studio, this workshop invites you to design and create a bespoke hand embroidered bandana with hand embroidery. You will learn a variety of embroidery stitches and how to use them to interpret a design of your own.
You’ll leave with a beautiful, personalised piece as a keepsake for yourself or a heartfelt gift for a loved one.

Guidance on creating your own design and transferring it onto fabric, by Gigi Volrath, founder of Amsterdam Embroidery
Instruction in a selection of basic embroidery stitches and techniques
A wide variety of fabrics, threads, and beads to choose from
Use of an embroidery hoop and all necessary tools (just bring yourselves and your ideas!)
2.5 hours of mindful stitching and relaxed creative conversation

🧾 What to Know Before You Come
What to expect: A slow, meditative, hands-on workshop focused on process rather than speed or perfection.
Finishing the work: If time runs short, we will package up a few threads for you to continue stitching your embroidery at home. (Complete your craft: the quintessential kit is available for purchase at your workshop, if needed.)
This is a beginner-friendly workshop.
No prior embroidery experience is required, though basic sewing skills may be helpful to get you started.

Cancellations made more than one week before the event are eligible for either:
A credit toward another Pink Poodle Society event for the full ticket amount, or
A refund minus the 6% platform and ticketing fees (non-refundable)
Cancellations made within one week of the event are non-refundable and non-creditable.
About Amsterdam Embroidery:
Amsterdam Embroidery was founded in 2024 by Gigi Volrath, bringing over a decade of expertise in both digital and hand embroidery, as well as fabric manipulation.
After building her career in London — where she worked as a freelancer and designer for leading embroidery studios — Gigi relocated to Amsterdam to open her own studio. Her portfolio includes work for high-profile clients such as Dior, Céline, Alexander McQueen, Disney, the BBC, FKA Twigs, Kylie, and Madonna.
