Press Play: A Reading & Listening Party by Audible & Reading Rhythms @ The Pillars
You’re invited!
Do you love escaping to a good story? Then we’ve got a special reading party for you. Reading Rhythms is teaming up with Audible for a very special reading AND listening party, right inside Audible’s brand new offices in the heart of Newark.
Bring any audiobook (physical books and kindles welcome too!) you want, and settle in for a one-of-a-kind experience with fun surprises in store.
This special edition of Reading Rhythms is all about audiobooks as a new kind of reading ritual.
Feel free to bring something with to keep your hands busy: sketching, doodling, mindful fidgets, or a warm drink — whatever makes the experience your own & comfy!
Prefer a paper book? No problem — we’ll have live music to accompany your reading.
Explore the new space and then settle in, press play, and enjoy guided listening sessions and moments to connect with your fellow readers.
✨ Event Perk! Guests will receive $10 to spend at one of two of our favorite spots — Pooka (@pookalita), makers of beautiful clean skincare products, or Tansy (@shoptansynj), a cozy shop for plants and home goods.
✨ Oh, and there is free parking at 20 Bridge Street!
This is the first of three community events opening Audible’s doors to celebrate connection, creativity, and the simple joy of slowing down together through sound, story, and shared space. Come ready to relax, explore, and be part of an afternoon of community.
