Travel has a way of removing us from the familiar and placing us somewhere we have to pay attention again. A conversation with a stranger, a wrong turn, a moment of being completely lost. Sometimes the shift is enormous — often it's a single detail that lodges somewhere and never quite leaves.
What did travel reveal about you that staying home couldn't? And is there a place — or a moment on the road — that quietly changed the way you move through the world?

A private home in Graça, one of Lisbon's most characterful neighbourhoods — steep streets, wide views, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to slow down. Address shared upon ticket approval
TIMELINE
20:00 — Doors open. Come in, settle down, meet your neighbours.
20:30 — Dinner is served
21:00 - Question is asked over the main dish
22:30 — The table lingers. Leave when it feels right.

Meet Your Host: Peter Fenger
Danish by origin, Lisbon is home. After years running his own company in the US, Peter's life now moves at a different pace — slower, more present, and anchored in good conversation. He's travelled to over 100 countries, mostly by bus and train, and has long since stopped counting and started noticing. He created this dinner to do what he does best: bring a small group of interesting people together around a table and let the conversation go wherever it wants to go. Expect candlelight, hygge, and a host who enjoys listening as much as he talks.
