Speakers
Max Rebol is CEO and Managing Partner of Harbour Industrial Capital, a Polkadot-focused VC fund. He is a prolific speaker on everything Web3, DeFi and Polkadot. Max is also co-founder of PolkaPort East, a HK based growth initiative for Polkadot, supported by the Decentralised Futures Program or the Web3 Foundation. Born and raised in Austria, he spent over 15 years in the Greater China region where he worked for an investment bank prior to discovering Bitcoin and diving into crypto full-time.
Dr. Kent Lau is a unique bridge between 30 years of healthcare expertise and 8 years of blockchain innovation. He founded Mirror Chain (patent pending), invented Proof of Deletion for verifiable data erasure, and is a contributor to the Hyperledger Healthcare Special Interest Group. An alumnus of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy, he holds a BPharm, PhD, LLB, and LLM from UCL.
Cloudgen Wong is the CEO of Cactus Semiconductor Company Limited. With over 10 years of deep expertise in the blockchain industry, he previously served as technical director at Hex Trust and CTO at Rio DeFi, leading technical strategy and product development in institutional-grade digital assets and decentralized finance. In 2017, he led a team to 4th place in the Binance Hackathon.
Daniel Cukier (@danicuki) is a software engineer with 20+ years of experience and a core contributor to the Polkadot JAM ecosystem. He is one of the creators of Jamixir, an implementation of the JAM protocol written in Elixir, and has contributed fixes and clarifications to the JAM Gray Paper. Daniel is also a former startup CTO, founder, and long-time community builder, currently focused on making advanced blockchain infrastructure more accessible to developers.

Workshop Objective and Goal
This workshop launches Polkadot JAM, Hong Kong's new developer community providing technical workshops, ecosystem updates, and regular gatherings to grow local membership.
Introduce Polkadot 2.0 innovations, including JAM (Join-Accumulate Machine), Substrate framework, and Rust development tools through hands-on training. Participants will explore applications spanning governance oracles, smart cities, payment systems, and decentralized networking.
Attendees will learn about the interoperability technologies and build blockchain solutions using Polkadot's infrastructure. The workshop prepares participants for the Polkadot Hub Hackathon 2026 (Feb 15 - Mar 24), featuring $30K in prizes and mentorship opportunities.
工作坊目标与宗旨
本次工作坊旨在启动Polkadot JAM——香港全新的开发者社区，通过提供技术研讨、生态动态更新与定期聚会，持续壮大本地成员规模。
工作坊将结合实操培训，深入介绍Polkadot 2.0的创新技术，包括JAM（Join-Accumulate Machine，联合累积机）、Substrate框架及Rust开发工具。参与者将探索其在治理预言机、智慧城市、支付系统与去中心化网络等领域的应用场景。
参会者将学习波卡的互操作性技术，并利用其基础设施构建区块链解决方案。本次工作坊也为参与者备战2026年波卡中心黑客松（2月15日-3月24日）做好准备，该赛事提供3万美元奖金并包含导师指导机会。
