“As AI accelerates, who’s right about where it’s going- and how we should build it?”

​​To frame the discussion, we’ll use The Scaling Era: An Oral History of AI - a book that explores how rapid advances in AI are being driven by scaling: more data, more compute, and larger models.

​But while progress has been dramatic, the people building AI don’t agree on what it means - or where it leads. Some believe scaling will continue to unlock increasingly powerful systems. Others argue we’re missing key pieces, or moving too fast to understand the consequences.
